Tales of Bambi, Duke and Buddy

BAMBI the lover

This dog name suits a girl dog. The first thing that comes to the mind on hearing this name is that the dog is lovable. It also implies the dog loves you a lot and will easily feel jealous if she realizes your attention to another dog, or maybe human, is just as good as the attention you pay to her. I would also think that the dog is small in size but that’s up to the owner’s discretion. I know people who have big dogs and still call them Bambi.

You calling your dog Bambi would also make me think you love fame, wish you were famous, or are already famous. Which one are you? It sounds really flossy so I would think you love attention, both on you and your dog. Not that your dog is complaining. There are dogs that are celebrities, others are aspiring celebrities and others are celebrity lovers in the dog world. Just watch how they behave in the park and judge which character your dog is.

Despite you as the dog owner loving attention, you are also very lovable and have a warm heart. Take care because people might take advantage of your warm heart and also that of your dog. Bambi also suggests that she is not easily irritated. She is passionate and full of lots of positive energy.
Bambi has its roots in Italy and means ‘Little child.’ It is derived from the word Bambino. Bambino sounds like food so I prefer Bambi.

DUKE the male dog

Duke sounds like a sophisticated English name. You naming your dog Duke suggests you love strong characters/traits. Probably, you were prompted to name your dog that way because you see his strong traits. You might also be quite the strong character.

I would also think there are times you have been at loggerheads with your dog but you manage to solve things; eventually.

Duke seems like the dog that has moderate levels of energy; neither too much energy nor too little energy. He has his moments fetching for you in the yard, but there are times he just wants to chill out and laze around watching TV, thinking about the girl dog next door, or about what you will give him for dinner or even just chewing on something. Duke sounds like a good boyfriend for Bambi. What do you think?
Duke in English means nobility and leadership. Now you know!

BUDDY the friend

I have heard that name numerous times. It’s pretty straightforward; I would think you have a strong friendship with your dog. You have a best friend with you in Buddy. You might have passed through many moments with your dog; some good, some really bad, but you came out stronger. It implies you treat your dog like you would a friend.

Your friendship is very strong. You being the owner of a dog named Buddy implies you are loyal, trustworthy and value the relationships in your life. You might also be the ‘hard to annoy’ type; very hard to piss off. I wouldn’t mind my dog socializing with yours.

Buddy also implies your dog is an energized dog. He has more of the high energy moments than the low energy moments. I would also think your dog is strong and masculine. I would name a Pitbull buddy if he fits the profile.
Buddy means brother or friend, simply.

Tales of Bella, Coconut and Charlie

Today, we are going to look at three beautiful names.

Do you have BELLA?

This dog name is appropriate for female dogs. The name comes off the tongue quite easily. The first thought that comes to mind when one hears that name is that your dog is really, really pretty, and she knows it. It also implies that you have a taste for good things.

It implies your dog has this adorable side that you can’t get enough of. Bella looks like the kind of dog you would never, ever replace. This name implies that you would do anything for her. If you are a guy and you have a dog named Bella, it means you have a strong, overprotective love for her. And she is loyal too!

If you are a girl, you probably have Bella because she might be the last remaining hope when it comes to friends. You know she won’t stab you in the back, you know she won’t look at you and hate your fashion sense, you know she won’t steal your boyfriend, you know she won’t wish you harm, and all those nasty things girls do to each other.

She might even give you a little bow when you look good and direct you to alternative clothes when she wants you to try something else; OR NOT!

Be careful though, if you treat your boyfriend unfairly, your boyfriend might spend more time with Bella than you, and you know Bella won’t say NO. Not because she is disloyal but because she has a kind-hearted nature.

Anyway, it’s a really great name and you can expect people to feel your attachment to her when you call her name.

You might want to know the name Bella has its roots in Italy and in the Latin world. You can vary the name to Labella, Belle, Bellisa, Beyla, and so many more. This name actually means beautiful!

How about COCONUT?

You must love food huh? The good thing is, your dog might be pretty, so much so, that if your dog was a burrito or some hot, spicy, chicken wings…………slurp! You would eat him/her up! I’m kidding!

Anyway, Coconut seems like a name you would give to a super friendly dog, a lover of sorts, and a loyal friend. It also befits a playful dog and one with lots of energy. You cannot call a quiet, low energy dog Coconut. Think of it this way; is food quiet when it slaps your taste buds? Food makes your taste buds scream “I’m here! I’m here! How do you like me now?!” That looks like a line from a big, crispy, tasty French fry.

Therefore, Coconut might be good for an active dog who prefers being up and about. Coco has its origins in Portugal and Spain FYI.

CHARLIE is a male dog

The first thing that comes to mind when I hear someone call out Charlie is that the dog is a well-mannered dog; for the most part. For humans, Charlie sounds like an educated man. Therefore, I would think of Charlie as a sophisticated dog, at least most of the time. When it’s time to play, Charlie will leave you speechless. The dog name implies that your dog is free both in thought and physically.

A dog named Charlie looks to me like the kind of dog that can get to your nerves sometimes especially when he is snubbing you. This dog might have fluctuating levels of energy. Down sometimes and up sometimes but tries to keep things ‘civil’ if there is a term like that in the dog world. I wish I could speak dog. Charlie might not like hanging out with Coconut though so don’t name one of your dogs coconut and the other Charlie.

The name Charlie has its roots in Germany and implies masculinity.

Why a dog names blog?

Choosing your dog's name is 'serious business' or 'small business' depending on how you look at it. Yes, it can be simple or hard. Everyone is different. Everyone has their values and no one should stop you from naming your dog as you please.

HOWEVER, you can make do with some cool ideas to name your dog; which we will look at. I have a list of many, many, cool dog names that you can sample from.

That being said, have you ever thought about THE OTHER SIDE? I mean, have you thought about what other people think when they hear you call out your dog? I will give you 'the other side' of the story.

Why serious business?

Naming a dog can be serious business because you provoke people to read a lot into who you are, just by your dog's name. There are names that make heads turn. There are names that make your friends look at you and judge you a bit; wondering "What in the world led this guy/girl to call his/her dog that?"
If it is serious business for you, then it means you are concerned a lot about what people think of you and your dog, and also, you might be overly concerned about what you yourself think about the dog. You are the type who cares a lot about image.

Why small matter?

There are dogs that make your work fairly easy. A few minutes with the dog and you already feel like you know the dog. Your dog's personality might make give you an instant connection to him or her. There are dogs that are vibrant, others are quiet, others seem empathetic, and others just get you. There are many other personalities which we will talk about as we go on.
If it is a small matter for you, you probably don't care so much about your image. You probably got an instant connection with the dog from the moment you got him or her. You might not care so much about what people think about you or your dog.

There are names that make your friends focus more on your dog than you, and vice versa. This blog is a look at some of the popular names and an opinion on what I think each name means. It is a blog on my perspective or what comes to mind when you call out for your dog in the park. It in no way meant to make you feel stupid, hate your dog's name or love your dog's name. Well, it would probably do you a lot of good to love and appreciate your dog's name.

So watch out! Don't call your dog 'Hell'. It will not make me judge you. It will just freak me out and prod me to grab my dog's leash slowly, and take my dog to another far, far, far, far, away park. I mean 'Hell' is really demonic stuff. What if your dog was really from hell? Would you still allow him/her to your house?
