Meaning of the dog names Molly, Kai and Lila

We have been talking about dog breeds in the last few articles but we are back to dog names. In this article, I have covered both extremes, those that like to play it safe and the free spirits. I would like to remind you that these are only thoughts so no ill will intended against anyone. Here you go!

Molly

Molly sounds to me like your average dog name. I have come across countless dogs named Molly. The first thing that comes to mind when I hear this name is that your dog is pretty average. She does not have an outstanding trait that grabs your attention right away. Only if you analyze deeply do you see the lovely traits. A dog named Molly only shows her true colors when she feels like.

I would also guess that she likes wagging the tail at the slightest sign of play time. Molly is a good playmate and also a wonderful reading companion. However, she does not grab people’s attention in the park. No offense to anyone with a dog named Molly.

The first thing that comes to mind when I see a dog owner with a dog named Molly is that you are pretty level headed. You don’t get annoyed easily and you see no reason to cause a fuss wherever you are. You are easy to get along with; I think that’s a better way to put it. You like playing it safe in all areas of your life.

Surprisingly, the actual meaning of the name Molly is rebellion. It’s Hebrew.

Kai

Whenever I hear a dog named Kai, it grips my attention. It makes me think that if the dog was human, he would be widely traveled. It implies a free spirit with a deep appreciation for seeing different cultures. Kai implies that you as the dog owner love experiencing things from other cultures. If you had the choice you would spend your life traveling and exploring different worlds.

A dog named Kai seems intelligent and easy to train. This is definitely among my one of my favorite dog names. I also get the sense that you as the owner of Kai are young and hip. You love collecting different sentimental items and you are equally a free spirit.
In actual sense, this name means sea in Hawaiian.

Lila

Lila is a good female dog name who makes a perfect girlfriend for Kai. This name evokes feelings of a sweet dog. She seems like the kind of dog that would fit well with a crew that loves to travel. ‘Come on Lila!’ I can picture Lila getting onto a Yacht or boat getting ready for an adventure! A dog named Lila might love the sea and also swimming. In terms of energy, Lila has massive energy reserves so playtime is welcomed with open arms (maybe paws).

This name also says a lot about you. It implies you are young and hip too; throwing all the troubles of this world at a moment’s notice. You are also a free spirit. However, you are not keen on knowing other cultures despite your love for traveling. You love experiencing the pleasures of traveling with only a few of your friends. A dog owner with a dog named Lila also seems like a sensitive soul. It’s easy to hurt you so you have moments when you get annoyed.

I am sure you love your dog names all the same.

Dog breeds for families II

Boxer

This dog originates from Germany and the known colors are brindle and fawn. However, there are many other colors including white and black. This dog breed is especially good for families because it is excellent with children. It is a bright dog packed with energy and loves to play. Despite them being patient and active with children, they also tend to be protective of them; which is another reason they are ideal for families. They bark at any sign of danger. Another reason you want a boxer around family is because they are not usually aggressive.

You want to keep your boxer active with exercise. Otherwise you will start observing your dog digging, licking or chewing. An adequately trained boxer is best because it tends to be stubborn if not well trained. Unfortunately, they don’t have a long lifespan.

You might notice the difference between a middle age boxer and a young pup. Pups are animated and playful, but become calmer with time.

Mastiff
This is a large sized dog breed. This might come as a scare to many but you will be surprised at how gentle natured this dog can be. This breed is quite docile. Dare you threaten what he protects, you will face the music. He is a good protector.

With the right exercise regime, this dog can fit in any environment you throw at it. You live in the countryside, no problem. You live in a city apartment, no problem. This dog can live in different environments. However, he prefers being indoors.

His large size comes with shortcomings. Firstly, space. As the dog gets older, you need to have room. Secondly, you might need help if you want to take him to the vet. Thirdly, his size is disproportionate to his lifespan. He does not live long.
Some other qualities you might not like; snoring, flatulence and drooling.

The collie

This dog breed happens to be very gentle and also gets along well with children. They love to please their owners and are good as watchdogs. For more information, visit the ‘dog breeds for single guys II’ article as this breed has been described.

Yorkshire terrier
Now I know many people might not agree with this dog breed being suitable for family but it is; for those with kids older than eight years of age. The Yorkshire terrier or ‘yorkie’ as is commonly referred to, is a small dog breed. This dog loves the attention, is overly protective and is as curious as a cat. It is not as submissive as its size suggests. This dog is also very affectionate.

The Yorkshire terrier happens to be easy to train and requires some moderate exercise; preferably daily. Some yorkies are laid back but most are quite energetic. They bark a lot which means they are good as watchdogs. Despite them being active, some people say their Yorkshire terriers love to lay back and have a quiet evening or afternoon. Grooming needs to be on the regular because their long coats require attention.

Pitbull
This is a versatile dog breed as we have already discussed in the article ‘dog breeds for single ladies III’. Surprisingly it happens to fit well with families. You want to check out the article ‘dog breeds for single ladies III’ in this blog for more information.
