Dog breeds for single ladies I

As promised, we will digress briefly and take a look at some of the dog breeds that suit you. We will look at those breeds that suit single ladies, those that suit single men, and those that suit families. Dog breeds have different traits, just like some dog names imply. Breeds often have a stronger effect on the traits of the dogs. So without further ado let’s look at the different breeds.

Top ten dog breeds that suit ladies in 2015

The Golden Retriever

Lovable

This is a large breed so if you are a sucker for big dogs, this is a good choice. It was named retriever because, initially, it was trained to get waterfowl or ducks that had been shot. They retrieve the shot birds without harming them.

The intelligence on this dog is unbelievable. These dogs are smart. You will see them being used as guide dogs by the blind, the deaf, rescue teams and hunters.

One good thing about the Golden retriever is that they are easy to train. These dogs can even be trained to both basic and advanced obedience skills. They have a long coat covering an inner dense coat. This coat combination means that they are able to prevent water from reaching their bodies. The result of this is that they absolutely love water! If you like swimming, you are going to love taking your golden retriever with you. Make sure he or she does not drown though.

Ensure that your compound is fenced because this breed loves to take walks/roam on their own. If you are not one who loves the outdoors, this breed is not for you. This dog breed requires constant outdoor exercise.

Grooming is a constant with this dog. The golden retriever sheds a lot so you need to groom him or her constantly.

You don’t have to worry about the dog’s temper. This dog is as gentle as a turtle dove and loves to please. She/he is always sweet and calm.

The origin of this dog is Scotland.

The Labrador retriever

This dog is also intelligent and gentle. This dog breed offers a wide selection for you because you can get it in black, chocolate or yellow. They are somewhat similar to the golden retriever in terms of their willingness to please and also as guide dogs.

This dog is patient, loving, loyal and generally very affectionate. As you are guessing, this dog breed also loves a good swim and playing.

The Labrador retriever still requires regular grooming and is laid back at all times. You might want to remember that this dog loves discovering around the backyard so ensure yours does not take a stroll to town without you.

This dog breed originates from Canada.

Cavalier King Charles spaniel

Different shades

This is a small dog breed characterized by a silky, smooth coat. You want a friendly, loving dog then this is a good choice. Just make sure to keep in constant touch with the dog; it needs human interaction. Think of this breed as therapy.

With this small dog breed, you have a choice of four colors; Ruby, Blenheim, black and tan and Tricolor. With his/her coat, you only need to brush weekly with no or minimal trimming.

This dog breed suits any personality because she/he is happy with anything; taking long walks or taking a nap on the couch. This breed also loves sitting on your lap. You will also notice that this breed loves wagging its tail all the time when walking.

It’s pretty easy to train this dog breed because of their intelligence, as long as you can keep the positive reinforcement, maybe with food. House training might be challenging at first but with patience and consistent training, the Cavalier King Charles spaniel can be trusted. Just make sure you don’t yell at the dog.

Labradoodle

Small and beautiful

What do you get when you cross a Labrador retriever and a toy Poodle? Yes, you guessed right. You get the Labradoodle. So you can call this a hybrid dog. A small dog breed for the small dog breed lovers.

You will find all kinds of fur traits with this dog breed. You will find wavy fur, curly fur, straight fur, wiry fur, soft fur and many others. Even though they are a relative of the Labrador, you will find it easier to groom this breed. You will also find that this breed has less dog odor than the Labrador retriever.

They got lots of energy, they are friendly, and love water. Apart from that they are intelligent. This energy is often a good thing but you will realize that sometimes every new friend the dog comes across is met with similar enthusiasm. If you want that to change, some training will do the trick. Having kids around this breed can sometimes get them unintentionally hurt/injured.

Don’t get this dog wrong, she/he has his/her moments when the dog just wants to be calm. Not very good as a guard dog though.
